Postdoctoral positions

Two Postdoctoral positions in Pharmaceutical Engineering are available at the Department of Pharmaceutical Science at UConn, to conduct research in two areas:

1. Multiphase multicomponent flow including heat and mass transfer using CFD/DEM

2.Molecular Modeling (MD) of drug encapsulation in liposomes

in industrially and federally funded projects.

These positions are available from Summer of 2018 for 1.5 – 2 years. Requirements include a PhD in mechanical, chemical, biomedical engineering, materials, physics, mechanics, applied math, or related field. We are interested in individuals with solid experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), Molecular Dynamics (MD), Discrete Element Modeling (DEM), computer simulation/visualization; and is familiar with two or more related software: Ansys-Fluent, LIGGGHTS, LAMPS, GROMACS, CFDEM and familiar with LINUX/GPU environment. The experience of C/C++ Programming is a big plus.
